Tri-Went started making custom tubular parts in 1971 in Toronto, Canada and with an increase demand in the US market opened a second plant in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1991. Tri-Went has been an ISO registered company since 1997 and in 2003 both locations received the new ISO-9001:2000 Registered Quality Systems with yearly audits preformed by QMI (Quality Management Institute) a division of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).

Tri-Went parts are used in various industry applications: air-conditioning, plumbing, marine, transportation, data communication, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, military, medical and nuclear.
